Review: The Gashlycrumb Tinies

Book information

Title: The Gashlycrumb Tinies

Author: Edward Gorey

Where to buy: Author doesn't want their work to be brought, only PDF/ePub files are available.
The book is really cool. It follow the AABBAA ryhme. Even though it shorts it teaches us how easily one can perish. It's a bit off that for each sample is used a child, but they are the ones who have the highest risk of it, when supervisors aren't around. So I get that point. But I don't understand why the pictures were sometimes a bit hard to see. For the 'V is for Victor squashed under a train' the picture seems like a boy completely fine standing somewhere which I also can't see that good. Would have enjoyed the short book more if the images weren't that hard to see.

It's also a bit sad that the book isn't allowed to he bought. I understand that every author has their own right for their books, but would have been nice to perhaps buying it and not only having it as PDF file. The book was really great and didn't take me 10 minutes to finish so even if you are unsure to read it; Just do. There's nothing to lose. It's an educational book. You would only learn.
How it works: Only everything that is lower than 9 gets reduced from the final rating. Depending on how strong it inflicted the overall enjoyment of reading it affects differently.
