Relatable, somehow. I don't plan to do suicide or self-harm but his moments of sadness I can relate to, like hiding somewhere, so that one can be completely alone, etc.
The ending was great. I actually initially hoped for him to do it, but that it ended differently was beautiful in it's own way.
Dislikes:
It always starts with hello I am, (insert name, insert age) it's annoying. And too stereotypical.
It's always just bad, bad, bad. There is that tenant boy who is nice to him and a school mate who saw him cutting on the toilet and removed every sharp object from Hooni secretly. But I can't understand how the teachers NEVER intervene. They literally see that he is shirtless and act like it's normal and believe what OTHERS say instead of asking Hooni himself. It's so unrealistic that the teachers NEVER noticed that Hooni gets bullied. It might has been more realistic that they wouldn't notice if it isn't as severe as it is.
The main character always wears two patches on his face and every now and then a bandage on his arm, right where the vains are. Isn't that a bit suspicious? Why does no one seem to notice it? I don't know about other schools and countries, but every time I was hurt in school or outside of it and had something to cover my wounds there was always someone who would notice it and check up on me. Teachers in my country all have first-aid-kits in every room and they always help us out even if we didn't ask for it. So I don't understand how no one seems to care at all in this manhwa.
Hooni is kinda stupid. I get it that he is afraid of talking back and stuff, but he gets NOWHERE help from no one. We readers don't even get an inside as to why he never gets help or tries somehow to not do things his bullies do. He is so obedient and I don't know why. He has not a single breaking point, which everyone has at some point.
At chapter 8 he has no money left for food and thinks of a part-time job, but then he buys himself over 1000 teddy bears worth of 30 won each (30k won in total). But remember: He can't afford food worth of just 750 won. Ridiculous.
I already knew before reading this manhwa that ParkGee likes to sexualise his minor characters, like Hooni who isn't a adult yet. But I also know that he only does this outside of his main manhwa and usually as some kind of 'fan service'. It is disgusting, but as long as the manhwa doesn't have it it's fine. At least I thought so, but some drawings seemed a bit sexual suggestive, especially when Hooni got bullied or felt a bit hot. It made me uncomfortable, but what was I expecting from a NSFW author anyway?
Reference: Chapter 13 cover, ah3ga0 face.
Slow pacing. Throughout the 54 chapters most felt repetitive or like a filler chapter. Some where interesting and needed yes, but some were unnecessary.
How it works: Only everything that is lower than 9 gets reduced from the final rating. Depending on how strong it inflicted the overall enjoyment of reading it effects differently.

I didn't like the book. The genre is interesting and I didn't feel triggered by the self h@rm. Only thing that bothered me was the se*ualizi$ing of minors. Most people read the book anyway, like me and as mentioned in my review is only in the fan service (patreon, twitter,...) so I think it's safe to read. Since many people read it I would say it was still kinda worth it as I wanted to see if the hype is fair. If you are looking for a plotless and repitivite storyline like in some comedy anime then that's for you, but if you are looking for something meaningful and perhaps resourceful, you perhaps shouldn't read Suicide Boy by ParkGee.
