Likes:

Drawings. The drawings are different in this book from other manhwa and manga. The colours are more flat and one might say there was less effort put into, but I really like this unique art style. It doesn't always have to shine and look perfect, colours can be flat. And it gives the impression of a cartoon. It also gives a cozy feeling. I must say I am a fan of the drawing style.


It starts off right at the beginning with something interesting; The meeting of the vampires and witches. It already makes a reader excited to read more, especially when the two main characters met.


Oz got turned into a cat. That's funny. And cool. I like cats. And it gives the story its little extra.


Comedy in this book is actually funny. I try to restrain from comedy books, but this one has met right my taste. I like the clumsy comedy. And Morgana is more than perfect, as she is a clumsy witch who uses spells wrong or at the wrong moment. The facial expressions on some pages make it even funnier (page 153, for example, with Oz's eyes when he got squeezed).


Their relationship unfolds in such a nice and neat way. They didn't like eachother at first, but as time passes and Oz is tied to her, they both bond. It's really beautiful.


Ending is just perfect. Making the reader excited near the end with new scenes and twists and when a new character is introduced the chapter is over. So exciting!


Dislikes:

I am not sure if it's 'cause of the watermark, but every picture has such low quality that if ruins the drawings completely.


There was no room of explanation for anything. The story starts exciting, but without an explanation to what happened or any backstory. The pacing was more concentrated on, as well as the plot, than any explanations, so that the reader can understand it.

How it works: Only everything that is lower than 9 gets reduced from the final rating. Depending on how strong it inflicted the overall enjoyment of reading it effects differently.

The Way It Is by Shirani Rajapakse My rating: 4 of 5 stars *I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.* The Book ‘The Way It Is’, is about a poetry collection ranging from politics and racism to war and death. Even though the poems don't rhyme most of the time, it still has a great flow while reading. I really liked about this book how wide ranging the topics were in it. After reading about war, I was reading about how woman dress and misogyny and then after that about slavery. Poems express so much more than outspoken words ever can and Shirani Rajapakse kept me intrigued with her poetry collection till the end. While reading I felt that these poems felt extremely personal and heartbreaking for me. The way the words were chosen for each poem, made me feel heard and understood, as I express the same feelings to certain topics that were covered in this collection. The Uncensored Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde My rating: 4 of 5 stars Short summary of my review The Picture of Dorian Gray is a great read for anyone who believes to like stories about the soul and body and how easily it can get influenced or 'stained'. The character development for me in this book took me by surprise as I didn't expect it to turn out in the way it did. A few chapters before the ending was a tense moment, which felt like a great plot twist as I didn't expect the things that happened there. Despite Dorian Gray appearing to be smart and proofing it multiple times, he did some fatal mistakes that could have ended very badly for him.
