Fantasy/Horror
Instead of the house party she expected, Alicia Ramble finds only a twisted dwarf that attacks her. When she barely manages to kill it and escape, everyone outside has vanished too, save for schoolmates Chelsea and Liz, the latter already having been killed. No one answers the pair's frantic phone calls or appears online, and TV and radio broadcast only static.
Seeking help, the pair journeys south towards New York City. Desperately they search town after town as the world is reverting to a mythical past of ancient flora, extinct fauna, and even stranger creatures. The only other person: a boy in deerskin who speaks an ancient language, wields a bow, and may know more about what’s going on than anyone from our world should … including a nothingness, a phage, that is consuming all existence while pursuing them, leaving oblivion in its wake.
Forced to team up despite their language differences, the trio takes on dwarfs, ice giants, shapeshifters, shadow creatures, giant serpents and other incomprehensible dangers while trying to unravel the mystery behind it all and restore the world before everything is gone.

DeleteHi Mika,
ReplyDelete"On a secluded moon of Jupiter, a curse is reawakening..."
I'm JD Mitchell, a science fiction author. I'm looking for reviewers of my book, THE CURSE OF THE WORLDS, and hoping you might want to give it a try.
"One thousand years from now, the human race struggles in a partitioned Solar System, doomed from what is now called, 'Wicked Old Earth.'
But for Giuseppe Gan De, investigating a cult on Jupiter’s moons, an encounter with an implausible entity brings the fate of Earth back to the forefront again—and his father’s demise.
Unbeknownst to him, he’s continuing the same mission that claimed his father.
Spanning planetary migrations across a partisan solar system, built on the weaponized husks of planets and ruinous genetic experiments, THE CURSE OF THE WORLDS is a visionary science fiction story about accepting that the same calamities might come again—but so can another future."
I published the book in July of 2024 on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, with reviews coming in on Goodreads.

I don't have a deadline because I'm just happy if people want to leave reviews. If this sounds interesting, I can send you an ebook (epub file).
Thanks for your time, and have a great rest of your day.
All the best,
JD Mitchell

A dislike that balloons into open hostility when Melissa's father loses his fortune and dies tragically, leaving her a penniless charity pupil completely at Miss Gradine's mercy. Little does she know that being made a servant cruelly treated by both staff and fellow pupils will be the least of her worries, as a nameless horror begins to stalk her through the school halls, something pushing through reality's thin surface to consume her. When her brutal circumstances begin to merge with the uncanny, Melissa, left all alone in the world, must find a way to escape both before they destroy her.
